香港人観光客の本音、白浜で感動したこととは？！

ホリデー中の人が多いと思うので、今日はホリデーに求める癒しについて書きます。

まず、香港人の若い世代の女性は韓国を、男性は日本を好むことに対し、日本人の若い世代の女性は同じく韓国、男性は台湾を好むという興味深い話を聞きました。というのも、香港男性が日本に求めていることと、日本男性が台湾に求めていることが一緒のようです。それは、まさに「癒し」。温泉、食べ物、サブカルチャー、伝統体験といった、中華圏では決して味わえない、そして、コンクリートジャングルの香港から解放させてくれるような、そんな文化の癒しを香港男性は求めています。中でも去年日本を訪れて僕が感動したのは、和歌山県の白浜の体験談を紹介します。

Shirahama is a town that belongs to Wakayama Prefecture. Shirahama is a district near to the sea coast. Due to the superior geographic location, many tourists like to have a visit as a way to relieve stress. 

皆さんもご存じのように、和歌山県にある白浜はその美しい海岸が有名で、まさに日常のストレスから解放してくれる場所ですよね。

The landmark of Shirahama is called Engetsu Island. Every evening,many tourists comes to watch the sunset. Due to the erosion of sea water for a long time, there is a hole in the middle of the stone Island. If you watch it at a distant place, it is very similar to two elephants kissing. During the sunset, it is beautiful to see the sun slowly goes into the stone hole.

中でも円月島は格別で、夕焼けを見に多くの観光客が訪れます。引潮時には中央の穴が開くので、そこを歩くこともできます。でも、もし少し距離が離れたところから円月島を見たら、まるで二頭の象がキスをしているように見えますよ。日が沈んでいる最中、まるで島の岩の穴の中に太陽がゆっくりと沈んでいくようでとても美しいです。

Tore Tore market is a large market in Shirahama. Many tourists like to buy souvenirs there. There are lots of items to sell, many products of wakayama are found there and plum is well known by tourists. Having a visit in Tore Tore Market, tourists are interesting in watching the demonstration of fish cutting. Before the demonstration, sellers will ring the bell and shout in order to attractive audience. After a while, it is divided into several parts and the largest part of the fish body is shown to audience first. Later the fish sellers will cut the smaller part of fish and let audience tries it. Although the prices of the items may not be cheap, but it is fresh and tasty at all.

僕たちのような海外からの観光客にとって、白浜で売られていた地元でしか買えないようなお土産も見るのも買うのも魅力的でした。印象に残っているのは梅干しと、観光客に呼びかけながら行われる魚の解体ショーです。魚自体は決して安くはなかったものの、ショートして楽しめ、そして味見もさせてもらいとても満足しました。

Having a hot spring is also one of the unforgettable experience for Hong Kong people. The hot springs in Shirahama have a long history and now it has become one of the famous Onsen in Japan. As long as the broad sea views and the excellent hotel equipment, tourists would like to stay overnight to enjoy the large varies of hot springs. For tourists who take a day trip to Shirahama, they can also take a outdoor foot bath and watch the beautiful scenes at the same time, and it is totally free of charge.

また、香港人にとっての日本旅行で欠かせないもの、そして、思い出深いものは温泉です。白浜の温泉は歴史も長いと有名だったので、実はそれが目当てで白浜を選びました。温泉に入りながら見られる広大な自然、そして、サービスの行き届いたホテルは日本ならでわだと思いました。白浜に宿泊しない観光客でも足湯や絶景を無料で楽しめるということを友達に話したら日本に行きたい！と言っていました。

来年6月末にまた日本に旅行に行くのが今から楽しみです。
